Hotel List Last Updated: August 2019

Looking for a guest friendly hotel in Bangkok? I’ve visited every guest friendly hotel around Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, Patpong and other nightlife areas in Bangkok and compiled the most detailed review website available. If you’re visiting Bangkok and need a good place to stay, you’ll be able to find it below…

To view my 10 top-rated guest friendly hotels in Bangkok, click here. This list only includes hotels rated 8+ out of 10 by guests on Agoda. In general, I recommend booking from this list as the hotels are clean, comfortable and confirmed to be 100% guest friendly and 100% free of joiner fees.

If you’re on a tight budget, I also have a list of budget-friendly guest friendly hotels for 1,500 baht per night or less.

You can also find a full list of all guest friendly hotels in Bangkok by scrolling further down this page. I’ve organized the hotel list by area, with a focus on hotels in Sukhumvit. Take note that this page includes all guest friendly hotels in Sukhumvit, including a few low-rated ones. As such, I recommend checking the reviews and feedback from recent guests before you book.

Sukhumvit

Sukhumvit is Bangkok’s main nightlife area, where you can find both Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy. I recommend staying here, since this is where the action is. It’s also the best part of Bangkok for getting around using public transport, since the BTS Skytrain runs all the way along Sukhumvit Road and into the rest of the city.

My list of hotels for Sukhumvit includes every guest friendly hotel in the area between Sukhumvit Soi 1 (close to Nana station), all the way up to Sukhumvit Soi 33. Beyond this point, you’re quite far away from nightlife and as such, I don’t recommend it as a place to stay. In general, the best guest friendly hotels in Sukhumvit are around Nana and Asok stations. You can also find some good smaller places down sub-sois (side streets) around Nana and Asok.

Here are all of the guest friendly hotels in the Sukhumvit area, starting with the more affordable options. I’ve included my thoughts on each hotel and the latest information on their guest friendly policies.

Budget Guest Friendly Hotels in Sukhumvit

Royal Asia Lodge

This is one of the cheapest guest friendly hotels in the Sukhumvit area. It’s located on Sukhumvit Soi 8 and is a short walk away from Nana BTS station. The rooms aren’t spectacular but they have comfortable beds, large windows, balconies and everything else you need. There’s also fast Wi-Fi.

One of the best aspects of the Royal Asia Lodge is that it’s located on Sukhumvit Soi 8, meaning it’s a quick walk to Nana Plaza but you’re far enough away to avoid the noise. If you’re on a low budget and want to be near the action but still have a good night’s sleep, the Royal Asia Lodge is worth considering. Just don’t expect total luxury.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Cheap and less than five minutes to walk to Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 6.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: Cheap and decent, but not spectacular.

Legacy Express Bangkok

This is another good option that’s cheap, within walking distance of Nana Plaza but far enough away to avoid the noise, and comfortable to stay in. Rooms at Legacy Express are nice and modern, with huge king-size beds and a large work desk. They’re also quiet compared to most hotels around Nana, meaning you shouldn’t have any problems getting a good night’s sleep.

Legacy Express is about five minutes away from Nana station on foot, meaning you can easily use the BTS to get around. From the hotel, it takes two to three minutes to walk to Nana Plaza. There’s free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and a very clean, comfortable atmosphere. This hotel is definitely a step up from the Royal Asia Lodge, and it doesn’t cost much more either. Recommended.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Clean, comfortable and less than three minutes to walk to Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 7.7 out of 10
Overall verdict: Worth it. Good place to stay if you’re on a budget.

Skyy Hotel

Another guest friendly hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 1, Skyy Hotel has a quiet location that makes it good if you want to enjoy the nightlife without having to try and sleep with thumping bass outside your window. Basically, if you like peace and quiet, this hotel is much better than the other budget options located closer to Nana Plaza.

The rooms at Skyy Hotel are clean, modern and comfortable, with big windows, large queen beds and soft mattresses (very welcome in Thailand, where mattresses are often as hard as a board). The staff are friendly, the Wi-Fi is fast and the hotel itself feels very modern, which isn’t a surprise considering it was only built a few years ago. Another good low-cost option near Nana Plaza that’s worth considering.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Clean, modern and large rooms within five minutes’ walk of Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 7.3 out of 10
Overall verdict: A good modern hotel that’s not too expensive and well located.

iCheck Inn Sukhumvit Soi 2

Located on Sukhumvit Soi 2, iCheck Inn Sukhumvit is less than two minutes away from Nana Plaza but has a much quieter, more chilled atmosphere than most of the hotels on Soi 4. If you want to be close to Nana but don’t want the bars right on your doorstep keeping you awake at night, this is a good budget option.

Despite the low prices, rooms at iCheck Inn are nice. The beds are large and the mattresses soft but supportive, with high quality sheets that I would expect from a much more expensive hotel. There’s also a small work desk, good sized closet, LCD TV and fast Wi-Fi in every room. Since this is a small hotel there’s no pool, but as a place to stay and a convenient guest friendly option it’s definitely worth the fairly low room price.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Clean, cheap and close to Nana Plaza without being too noisy.
Guest rating: 7.1 out of 10
Overall verdict: One of my favorite budget hotels near Nana Plaza.

White Orchid Inn Nana 1

Here we are, ladies and gentlemen — the cheapest guest friendly hotel in the Nana area. The White Orchid Inn Nana 1 is located right by Nana Plaza, costs almost nothing, and offers dreary rooms that aren’t even worth considering unless you’re on a very tight budget. In fact, I only included it on this list for completion’s sake — I do not recommend you stay here, no matter how tight your budget might be. Pick one of the other options above or below instead unless you just want a place to crash.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Very, very cheap.
Guest rating: 6.0 out of 10
Overall verdict: Not very nice, but very cheap.

Ibis Bangkok Nana Hotel

The Ibis Bangkok Nana Hotel is a high quality three-star chain hotel — a clean, comfortable hotel that offers a large, soft bed, fast Wi-Fi and useful services like a free shuttle to the Skytrain. If you want a simple but comfortable place to stay for the night that’s also 100% guest friendly, the Ibis is a very safe choice that definitely won’t disappoint. It isn’t luxury either, but it’s definitely way above average.

Rooms here are modern and very clean. There’s also fast Wi-Fi that you can use to browse the internet as you like. The hotel is totally guest friendly and less than 400 meters from the BTS station, as well as less than two minutes away from Nana Plaza. If you want to be right beside Nana and be able to walk back to your hotel with ease after a night out, the Ibis is a good low-cost place to stay.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Clean, modern and located on the same street as Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 7.8 out of 10
Overall verdict: Clean, reliably and friendly staff — can’t go wrong here.

Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel

This is another three star hotel located on Soi 4, meaning you can walk directly from the hotel to Nana Plaza without having to cross any streets or deal with Bangkok traffic. It also has a rooftop pool, which is unique for a hotel in this price range.

Rooms at the Woraburi are good quality for a three star hotel, with very thorough cleaning, comfortable beds and all of the facilities you’d expect from a good Thai hotel. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax during the day too, with several sun loungers you can use to work on your tan before you go out for the night. Overall, I like this place and think it offers good value for money, especially if you want a budget hotel with a good swimming pool. It takes about five minutes to walk from the hotel to Nana Plaza.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Has a rooftop pool, plus spacious and comfortable rooms on the same street as Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 7.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: By far the best budget option on Soi 4 if you want a swimming pool.

Majestic Suite Hotel

Not to be confused with the Majestic Grande Hotel nearby (which is much more luxurious and expensive), this three star guest friendly hotel is located on Sukhumvit Road, between Soi 4 and Soi 6. This means you can walk directly from the hotel to Nana Plaza without having to cross any roads or get stuck in traffic.

Rooms at Majestic Suite Hotel are very nice for the price range, with queen beds, good air conditioning, plenty of space and fast Wi-Fi. This hotel is kept extremely clean and has good maintenance. It’s also a short walk from the Skytrain station at Nana, making it one of the best choices in the area if you want to be able to quickly and easily access the Skytrain to get around Bangkok.

Overall, this is one of my top recommendations around Nana. The staff are friendly, the rooms are good, the hotel is kept impeccably clean and the pricing is some of the best of any three star hotel within walking distance of Nana Plaza. Recommended.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Extremely clean, with large rooms and everything you need at a good price.
Guest rating: 8.1 out of 10
Overall verdict: One of the best budget guest friendly hotels near Nana Plaza. Always reliable.

Omni Tower Sukhumvit Nana Residences

If you want a guest friendly serviced apartment near Nana Plaza instead of the typical hotel, you’ll probably like Omni Tower. This serviced apartment building (or serviced residence, as they call it) gives you all of the benefits of a hotel, plus serviced apartment amenities like large sofas, dining tables and some basic kitchen supplies to help you cook in your unit if you so please.

This building feels much more like an apartment building than a hotel overall, so it’s a good choice if you like a little extra privacy. There’s a swimming pool outside with sun loungers, a decently equipped gym with weights and treadmills, plus a small supermarket inside the building. This is a good place to feel like you’re living in Bangkok, even if you’re only staying short term. With this said, it is an older building and the units feel like they are from the mid 1990s, meaning this is not the place to stay if you need somewhere brand new.

Omni Tower is on Sukhumvit Soi 4, meaning you can walk to Nana Plaza in a couple of minutes. The staff are used to guests bringing people back from the bars, so you won’t get any extra attention. Overall, this is a good option if you want an apartment-style place to stay within walking distance of Nana Plaza.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Large, apartment-style units with dining tables and basic kitchen equipment.
Guest rating: 7.0 out of 10
Overall verdict: Good if you want an apartment-style unit, but getting a little worn around the edges.

Parkway Inn

Parkway Inn is another good low-cost hotel located close to Nana Plaza. It’s located right by the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 4 and Sukhumvit Road, meaning you can easily walk to Nana Plaza in under two minutes and also get to the Skytrain station without having to worry about crossing any other roads. From a location perspective, this place is perfect.

Rooms at Parkway Inn are simple but reasonably decent. The decorating is starting to look a little out of date, but the beds are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are huge (and have bathtubs, which isn’t that common for a budget hotel in Bangkok) and the windows are big, meaning you get plenty of natural light. With this said, this hotel is definitely starting to show its age and isn’t exactly ultra modern.

Still, if you want a cheap place to stay that’s close to Nana Plaza and Nana Skytrain station, Parkway Inn is a decent option that’s usually pretty light on your wallet.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Great location on the corner of Sukhumvit Road and Sukhumvit Soi 4.
Guest rating: 7.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: Good value for money but getting a little old and worn.

The Dawin Bangkok Hotel

The Dawin Bangkok Hotel is one of my favorite low-cost guest friendly hotels in Bangkok. The rooms here are spacious, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable to stay in and generally tick all the right boxes. This place is a little more expensive than most of the three star hotels in the area but it’s definitely worth it.

The first reason I like this place is the cleanliness. The entire hotel is kept extremely clean and well maintained. The second reason is the beds — they are big, have comfortable mattresses and soft, high quality sheets. The third reason is the extremely nice rooftop swimming pool, which offers amazing views over the Sukhumvit area skyline.

If you don’t mind stretching your budget a little bit out of the budget category, The Dawin is definitely worth it. It’s located on Soi 4 nice and close to Nana Plaza but far enough away that you won’t have to deal with any excess noise. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you want a cheapish, high quality place to stay within easy walking distance of Nana Plaza.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Large, clean and modern rooms, plus a rooftop pool with a stunning view.
Guest rating: 8.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: Worth the extra money compared to other three star hotels near Nana Plaza.

Atlas Bangkok Hotel

Atlas is a budget hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 that’s surprisingly nice. It costs very little to stay here and you get a lot of bang for your buck. The rooms are small but clean and have great queen size beds, meaning you have plenty of space to stretch out. The mattresses are soft and supportive, which is very different from most two star hotels in Thailand. In short, this place is great if you’re on a budget and want a guest friendly hotel near Nana Plaza.

In terms of location, Atlas Bangkok is on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1. This means it’s close to a lot of great beer bars and massage shops. To get to Nana Plaza from the hotel, all you need to do is walk through the Skytrain station and onwards for about one minute to Soi 4. The entire process of getting to and from Nana Plaza takes about five minutes from this place.

Are the rooms here gigantic? No, but they’re modern, clean and have everything you need for a good stay, all at a very reasonable price. The staff are also easygoing and friendly — they’re used to guests bringing back new people and generally won’t bother you. Recommended if you’re on a tight budget and want somewhere modern and clean.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Clean, basic and modern, with very affordable pricing and a good location on Soi 7/1.
Guest rating: 7.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: Clean and convenient. A good budget option if you want to be near Nana station.

Mac Boutique Suites Hotel

Another good option close to Nana BTS station, Mac Boutique Suites is located on Soi 7 but has a small alleyway connecting it to Soi 11, making it a good place to stay if you want to be close to the bars and nightlife on Sukhumvit Soi 11. As for Nana Plaza, it’s a short walk through the Skytrain station to get there — takes about five minutes in total.

The rooms at Mac Boutique Suites Hotel are clean and comfortable, with queen beds and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The pricing is good and the hotel itself is excellent value for money. The only weakness is that the in-room furniture is a little on the old side, but it’s not a problem from a comfort perspective. A good option if you don’t want to spend much but want to be able to walk to Nana Plaza or quickly take a taxi to Soi Cowboy from outside your hotel.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Rooms are clean and comfortable, plus the location is good for enjoying local food and visiting plenty of bars around Nana.
Guest rating: 7.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: Clean and comfortable, although not brand new. Good value for money.

Salil Hotel Sukhumvit Soi 8

As you’d expect from its name, Salil Hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 8 — one of Bangkok’s best sois if you’re looking for a mix of good places to eat, fun places to drink and a reasonable amount of peace and quiet once it’s time to sleep. From the hotel, it’s a short five minute walk past Nana Skytrain station to Nana Plaza.

Rooms at Salil Hotel are modern, comfortable and impeccably clean. This is a three and a half star hotel with three star pricing, making it a good option if you want something a little higher up in terms of quality than most of the other options on Soi 8. The beds are large, mattresses soft and supportive, sheets smooth and comfortable, Wi-Fi fast and rooms comfortable overall. There’s also plenty of natural light, making it a very pleasant place to stay during the daytime.

The privacy level here is good and the staff are friendly. Since it’s Soi 8, they’re used to guests bringing back people from the nearby bars. If you want a pleasant, clean and comfortable mid-range hotel that’s less than five minutes’ walk from Nana Plaza, Salil fits the bill. There’s even a free shuttle to the BTS Skytrain station to help you get around the city. Recommended.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Location is good and staff are friendly.
Guest rating: 7.9 out of 10
Overall verdict: One of the best affordable hotels in Nana, highly recommended.

Sawasdee Hotel @ Sukhumvit Soi 8

Another option on Sukhumvit Soi 8, Sawasdee Hotel is a good place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of Nana Plaza but don’t want to stay right in the middle of the action. From the hotel, it takes less than five minutes to walk to Nana Plaza, or about one minute in a taxi. The hotel is also close to Chuwit Garden — a small park that’s open to the public during the day.

The rooms here are fairly cosy but have large beds, soft mattresses, modern bathrooms and everything else you need for a good stay. The hotel itself is also a friendly, welcoming place with staff that go out of their way to take care of you if you need help. Since it’s Nana, there’s no problem with bringing a guest back at nighttime.

Overall, another reliable choice that’s comfortable but still affordable. There’s also a free shuttle to the Skytrain station and a good variety of local and international dining options around the hotel. Recommended.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Rooms are cosy but have comfortable beds and plenty of natural light.
Guest rating: 7.6 out of 10
Overall verdict: Another good affordable guest friendly hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 8.

City Lodge Hotel

City Lodge Hotel isn’t spectacular by any means, but it’s a good mid-quality budget hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 9 that’s definitely worth considering if you want to be close to Nana Skytrain station and Sukhumvit Soi 11 while still being within walking distance of Nana Plaza.

Rooms here aren’t super modern but have a nice design, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light and offer good views of the surrounding area. The beds are queen sized and have medium/soft mattresses that are comfortable to sleep on, plus high quality sheets and pillows. The bathrooms are large and have a bathtub, which is always a nice bonus.

There’s fast Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and a good level of cleanliness. It’s also a short walk to the Skytrain station and a five to seven minute walk from the hotel to Nana Plaza, making it easy to get the best of the area’s nightlife. All in all, this isn’t a remarkable hotel but it’s a good, affordable place for a comfortable stay that’s definitely worth considering if you get a good price.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Rooms are clean, have comfortable beds, large windows and offer a comfortable stay.
Guest rating: 7.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: A good all-round option on Soi 9, close to Nana Skytrain station and Soi 11 and a short walk from Nana Plaza.

Cozy at Ten Hotel

Located directly opposite Chuwit Garden, Cozy at Ten Hotel is a good quality three star hotel that’s worth booking if you want a more peaceful location that’s still close to Nana Plaza and the rest of the area’s nightlife. The hotel’s parkside location means it’s quiet and peaceful, but you can still get to Nana Plaza on foot in five to six minutes.

Rooms at Cozy at Ten are, as you’d expect from the name, comfortable and cosy. The beds are queen sized and have soft, comfortable mattresses and good quality pillows. All of the rooms have large windows, meaning this hotel is well lit naturally and never feels dim or gloomy. From the hotel entrance, it’s only a two minute walk to Nana Skytrain station.

All in all, this is one of the better small guest friendly hotels around Nana that isn’t overly noisy or crowded. There’s only 22 rooms in the whole place, meaning you have a good degree of privacy and friendly staff that don’t mind you bringing someone back.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Small, boutique-like hotel with good quality rooms and a nice location next to Chuwit Garden park.
Guest rating: 7.6 out of 10
Overall verdict: A great choice if you want to be in a quieter area but still able to walk to the nightlife on Soi 4.

Paradiso Boutique Suites

Paradiso Boutique Suites is another great guest friendly hotel choice if you want to be within walking distance of Nana Plaza but don’t want to deal with the noise, hustle and bustle of the busier hotels on Soi 2 or 4. This hotel is located on Soi 10 and directly overlooks Chuwit Garden, meaning you don’t have any noisy neighbors to worry about and instead get a nice view of the greenery.

Built in 2009 and renovated in 2011, Paradiso Boutique Suites has a modern feel that makes it a nice place to stay. The rooms have high quality wooden flooring, huge king size beds and good quality mattresses with sheets and pillows that make it easy to get a comfortable sleep. There’s stylish artwork in most of the rooms and fast Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Another plus of the Soi 10 location is that Paradiso Boutique Suites is only a short walk away from Nana Skytrain station, making it easy to get around the city. It’s also 100% guest friendly. Another great option on Soi 10 that’s within walking distance of the Soi 4 bars but far enough away to be a quiet, pleasant place to stay.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Quiet and peaceful, with a great location that overlooks a small park and lets you get to the Skytrain in just a couple of minutes.
Guest rating: 7.7 out of 10
Overall verdict: Great if you want to go out on Sukhumvit Soi 4 at night but return to a quieter, more peaceful environment after.

Smart Suites

Smart Suites is a comfortable three star hotel on Soi 11, one of Bangkok’s best party streets. Since it’s quite deep into Soi 11, this hotel is not ideal if you want to spend your time at Nana Plaza or in the bars around Nana Skytrain station, as it’s quite a hike to get to and from the hotel from Soi 4.

However, if you want to stay on Soi 11 and its immediate surroundings, Smart Suites is a great little hotel. The rooms are modern and clean, the furniture and bedding high quality and the location close to some of the best restaurants and bars on the street. There’s no pool or extra amenities — just good quality, cosy and comfortable rooms with fast, free Wi-Fi that are great for a pleasant stay.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Good location on Soi 11, with comfortable rooms that are kept in good condition and priced fairly for the quality.
Guest rating: 7.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: Ideal for partying on Sukhumvit Soi 11, but not in a good location for Nana Plaza.

Miami Hotel

The Miami Hotel is a bit of a legend in Bangkok — it’s old, hugely outdated and really not worth staying in for comfort. However, it’s a unique relic of the 1960s that I figured was worth including on this list.

One of the original hotels in the Nana area, the Miami Hotel is a time capsule back to the 1960s. The styling is art deco, the pool like something out of an old James Bond movie and the entire environment a little run down, but in a charming way. Worth a look if you want a 1960s nostalgic expeirence; otherwise it’s best to stay somewhere more modern.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: 1960s design that hasn’t really changed that much over the years, making it a very unique place to stay.
Guest rating: 6.9 out of 10
Overall verdict: Fun if you want a unique experience, but definitely not a modern hotel.

Manhattan Hotel

The Manhattan Hotel is an older hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 15 that’s been renovated (in 2011 or 2012, I believe), meaning it has the huge rooms that are characteristic of Bangkok hotels built in the 90s with the design and decorating of a newer hotel. The rooms here are spacious, have comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi and — provided you’re on the right floor — good views of Bangkok’s downtown skyline.

This hotel is located about halfway between Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy. Both are within walking distance, although it will take 10 minutes to reach either one, making it better to pay the 50 baht for a taxi. As well as the large and comfortable rooms, there’s a swimming pool and reasonably well equipped fitness center.

If you prefer a spacious room to a small one, want to be fairly close to the nightlife but in an area that’s quiet enough for a good night’s sleep and don’t mind a building that’s slightly older (but still in good condition), you’ll get great value for money by staying at the Manhattan.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Older 1990s hotel that’s been renovated to modern standards with spacious rooms.
Guest rating: 7.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: Good if you want a larger hotel with swimming pool and gym close to Nana and Soi Cowboy.

S Sukhumvit Suites Hotel

S Sukhumvit Suites is a modern three star boutique hotel located right beside Asoke Skytrain station. This means it’s one of the most conveniently located hotels in the city if you want to be close to Soi Cowboy.

The rooms here are modern and comfortable, with king size beds and ultra-modern decorating and furniture. Some rooms have balconies overlooking Asoke intersection, which makes this a great hotel to stay in if you want a “big city” atmosphere. The hotel is just a few steps away from the Skytrain and perfect for getting around Bangkok easily.

From the hotel, it takes about 20 seconds to walk to Soi Cowboy, making this hotel perfectly located if you want to enjoy the nightlife in this area. It’s about five minutes and 50 baht in a taxi to get to Nana Plaza, making it easy to enjoy both of Bangkok’s nightlife areas. There’s also the large Terminal 21 shopping mall right across the street. In terms of location and value for money, S Sukhumvit Suites is a great option. Recommended.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Modern, clean and comfortable hotel located right beside Asoke Skytrain station and less than 30 seconds from Soi Cowboy.
Guest rating: 8.1 out of 10
Overall verdict: Perfect choice if you want an affordable, modern and clean hotel near Soi Cowboy and Terminal 21 shopping mall.

24 Inn Bangkok

24 Inn Bangkok is a small budget hotel that’s a little further away from the nightlife areas than most, with a location close to Sukhumvit Soi 24 and Phrom Phong Skytrain station. If you want somewhere that’s guest friendly but better located for shopping than walking directly to the nightlife areas, this is a good choice.

Staying here, you can walk to The Emporium and the new EmQuartier shopping malls in under two minutes. This area is also full of good Japanese restaurants and bars, as well as a decent selection of Western restaurants. All in all, a better option for shopping than nightlife, but still 100% guest friendly and suitable if you want to enjoy Bangkok’s nightlife to the fullest.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Conveniently located modern budget hotel that’s ideal if you want to shop at Emporium or EmQuartier.
Guest rating: 7.8 out of 10
Overall verdict: You’ll need to take a taxi to Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza, but worth it if you want to be close to some of Bangkok’s best shopping malls.

Mid-Price Guest Friendly Hotels in Sukhumvit

Majestic Grande Hotel

The Majestic Grande is a large four star hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 2, within walking distance of Nana Plaza. In my opinion, this is the best mid-priced hotel in the area, both from a comfort perspective and a location one.

From the hotel, it takes less than five minutes to walk to Nana Plaza. There are several restaurants in and around the hotel (including some of the best Arabic and Indian food in Bangkok), as well as the usual Thai street food. The location is very tough to beat, since you’re also about a five minute walk from Nana Skytrain station.

In terms of accommodation, the Majestic Grande has spacious and modern rooms that feel more like a four-and-a-half star hotel than a four star hotel. The beds are gigantic, pillows and sheets soft and comfortable, furniture stylish, decorating nice and the overall experience very nice. The rooms all have huge LCD TVs and very fast, free Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are huge and feature large, luxurious jacuzzi-style bathtubs.

Add a luxurious outdoor swimming pool, good quality fitness center and spa into the equation and the Majestic Grande is easily my favorite mid-priced hotel around Nana Plaza. It’s also very guest friendly, with staff that are used to guests bringing back new friends and won’t bother you at all.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Modern four star hotel near Nana Plaza, Nana station and a good selection of restaurants and shopping areas.
Guest rating: 8.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: Easily the best mid-priced hotel within walking distance of Nana Plaza.

Hotel Solo Sukhumvit 2

Another four star hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 2, Hotel Solo is a smaller hotel than Majestic Grande with modern, stylish rooms. This hotel was built in 2009 and renovated in the last few years, so it feels very modern and up-to-date, with nice interior decorating and huge windows that let in plenty of natural light and give you a good view of the surrounding area.

The rooms at Hotel Solo are spacious and comfortable, with queen or king size beds depending on room type and all of the other items you’d expect in a modern four star hotel. There’s also a rooftop swimming pool that has a great view of the skyscrapers of downtown Bangkok, plus a good selection of recliners for you to relax on during the daytime. Add good room service into the equation and an excellent location less than 10 minutes’ walk from Nana Plaza and Hotel Solo is one of my favorite mid-priced guest friendly hotels in the lower Sukhumvit area.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Great mid-sized four star hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 2 with a rooftop pool and a convenient location, plus a shuttle service to the Skytrain station.
Guest rating: 8.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: A good option if you want to be close to Nana Plaza but far enough away to avoid the noise.

Boss Suites

Boss Suites is a good mid-priced hotel that’s not brand new, but still offers a good experience. It’s located on Soi 4, meaning you can get to Nana Plaza easily from the hotel. Luckily, it’s far enough away from the Plaza that you aren’t subjected to any of the noise of the nearby beer bars — expect to spend five to 10 minutes walking along the soi to get there.

The rooms at Boss Suites are large, sunny and spacious, with huge windows that look out over some of the nearby trees and buildings. Since it’s on a quieter part of Soi 4, the overall feeling is relaxed and peaceful. There are huge beds in all of the rooms, large work desks, LCD TVs and free, fast Wi-Fi that’s perfect for browsing the internet or watching YouTube. There’s also a semi-outdoor swimming pool (technically it’s “inside” the hotel but in an open air environment), plus a fitness center with some cardio equipment and dumbbells.

If you stay here, I recommend just taking a taxi from the hotel to and from Nana Plaza. It’s only a two-minute ride but it saves you a walk down the soi. It’s also possible to walk. Overall, this hotel is a good place to stay if you want a quiet, peaceful environment that’s still close to the bars and nightlife around Nana.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: A good small four star hotel on Soi 4 with large, spacious rooms and high quality service, although beginning to show its age.
Guest rating: 7.5 out of 10
Overall verdict: Spacious rooms, huge beds and plenty of natural light make this a good place to stay.

Amari Boulevard Bangkok

The Amari Boulevard Bangkok is an older four star hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 5 that’s getting been nicely maintained over the years and is still a good place to stay. The rooms here are a little dated and the hotel itself definitely not brand new, but the location on Soi 5 is tough to beat if you want to be within walking distance of Nana Plaza and close to plenty of dining options.

There’s a lot of Arabic, Indian and other international dining options around the hotel, as well as the usual Thai and Western food. Rooms at the Amari Boulevard are large (even the smallest rooms are 32 square meters) and the hotel’s pool is a nice place to relax in the daytime. There’s also a fitness center, several restaurants and a bar inside the hotel. All in all, a decent but not spectacular mid-priced guest friendly hotel option close to Nana Skytrain station.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: An older four star hotel that’s been well maintained over the years but it starting to show its age.
Guest rating: 7.7 out of 10

Dynasty Grande Nana Hotel

Dynasty Grande is a great little four star hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 6. Barely anyone seems to know about this hotel, which is quite nice as I tend to stay here when in Bangkok. This hotel is fairly priced, the rooms are spacious (minimum 30 square meters, with balconies), the Wi-Fi is free, fast and reliable, and there’s an excellent outdoor swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers.

One of the things I like most about this hotel is that when staying here, it feels as if you’re well outside the hustle and bustle of central Bangkok. The rooms have a resort-like feel, with colorful decorating and fairly large balconies that overlook the pool or surrounding area. The hotel is less than two minutes walk from Nana Plaza, meaning you can easily get to the nightlife, but never feels noisy or overly busy.

All in all, this is one of my top mid-priced recommendations near Nana Plaza. The rooms are big, the hotel itself nice, the swimming pool perfect for chilling out during the daytime and the staff kind and polite. It’s also 100% guest friendly, with tolerant and easygoing staff and no joiner fees.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Great swimming pool, large rooms, quiet atmosphere and convenient location close to Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 8.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: Along with the Majestic Grande, this is one of the best mid-priced hotels near Nana.

Phachara Suites Sukhumvit

Phachara Suites is one of my favorite mid/upper-priced hotels in Sukhumvit. It’s on Sukhumvit Soi 6, meaning it’s a short walk to Nana Plaza while being far enough away to avoid most of the noise. It’s luxurious, with an outdoor swimming pool that provides good views of the Sukhumvit skyline and plenty of deckchairs and cabanas. It also has huge rooms that have large windows, decently sized balconies with chairs and outdoor dining tables, fast Wi-Fi and luxurious furniture.

In short, this place is a great four-and-a-half star hotel that’s priced more like a four star hotel than a luxury hotel. If you want something luxurious that’s also competitively priced, Phachara Suites is definitely worth a look.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Large, luxurious rooms with decently sized balconies, plus a great swimming pool.
Guest rating: 8.2 out of 10
Overall verdict: Definitely one of the best mid/upper tier guest friendly hotels within five minutes of Nana Plaza.

Adelphi Suites Hotel

Adelphi is a chain of mid-priced luxury hotels around Bangkok, and their hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 8 is definitely one of the best hotels in the area if you’re on a moderate budget. This place has a great outdoor pool, very spacious rooms with nice views over the surrounding area, large and comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi and everything else you could want from a mid-priced four star hotel.

The rooms here also have kitchen facilities, making them great if you want to cook or prepare food at home. All in all, Adelphi Suites feels more like a luxury serviced apartment building than a hotel, with very spacious rooms that are great for working in and enjoying the “living in Bangkok” experience while still having all the usual hotel services.

The hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 8, just a minute or two away from the Skytrain station and Nana Plaza. You can also walk to Sukhumvit 11 through the skytrain station, making it a good option if you want to visit any of the international restaurants in the area. Recommended, and not overly expensive either.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: High quality, spacious rooms with apartment-like features at a reasonable price.
Guest rating: 8.6 out of 10
Overall verdict: Easily the best option close to Nana Plaza if you want more of an apartment-style expeirence.

Centre Point Sukhumvit 10 Hotel

Another luxurious four star hotel, Centre Point Sukhumvit 10 is about five to 10 minutes from Nana Plaza on foot. Since it’s on Soi 10, it overlooks Chuwit Garden and many rooms have relaxing park views — something that’s rare to find in Bangkok.

Rooms at the Centre Point are on the large side, with sliding glass dividers between the bedroom and living areas even in some of the smaller rooms and plenty of space for you to stretch out and relax. The beds and soft and comfortable and the decorating all very high quality, as you’d expect from a four star hotel.

This is an older hotel, built in 1992 and recently renovated, which is a very good thing in Bangkok, as older hotels tend to have better facilities and more space. If you’re looking for the large, luxury hotel experience but don’t want to pay a fortune to get it, the Centre Point is a good guest friendly option that’s close to Nana Plaza and Nana Skytrain station. Recommended.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Large rooms and a great swimming pool in a quiet location that’s still within walking distance of Nana Plaza.
Guest rating: 8.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: One of the best four star hotels near Nana Plaza that’s still quiet and peaceful.

Galleria 10 Hotel

Another Sukhumvit Soi 10 hotel, Galleria 10 Hotel is stylish and modern, with cool murals painted in all of the rooms. It also has a luxurious outdoor pool with plenty of deck chairs, dining tables and bar space around it, making it a fun place to relax with a drink as the sun sets before going out for the night.

If you want somewhere modern and stylish that’s within walking distance of Nana Plaza, Galleria 10 is a good choice. The rooms are decently sized and all have king beds, soft mattresses and good quality sheets and pillows. The windows are floor to ceiling and give the hotel a sleek, luxurious feel. The Wi-Fi is fast and the rooms all equipped with decently sized work desks, making it easy to respond to emails or browse the Internet while you stay.

Overall, this place is another good choice if you want a modern four star hotel that’s within walking distance of Nana Skytrain station and Nana Plaza but still relatively quiet after dark.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Luxurious rooms with very modern decorating, plus a great outdoor pool with views of the city.
Guest rating: 8.4 out of 10

Le Fenix Sukhumvit

Le Fenix Sukhumit is a luxury four star hotel located quite deep inside Sukhumvit Soi 11, meaning it’s a decent taxi ride away from Nana Plaza. It’s also home to one of Bangkok’s best rooftop bars, making it a fun place to stay if you want to sip somewhat overpriced cocktails and enjoy a nice view of the Sukhumvit Soi 11 skyline.

From a hotel perspective, Le Fenix is good. It’s modern and has large rooms with comfortable king size beds and fast Wi-Fi. There’s even a free shuttle to take you to and from the Skytrain station. However, the distance to Nana Plaza is a major downside that means I don’t stay here much. It’s also a little on the noisy side because of the numerous bars and street food stands nearby. Still, worth considering if you want to be close to the Soi 11 nightlife.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Large, modern rooms with comfortable beds and good quality decorating.
Guest rating: 7.5 out of 10
Overall verdict: A good four star hotel, but in an inconveniently location for Nana Plaza and a little too noisy after dark.

President Palace Hotel

Note: This hotel has recently rebranded as the Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11.

If you want a huge room and don’t mind a hotel that’s a few years old, you’ll like President Palace. This hotel was built in 2008, meaning it’s not brand new but also not old either. The rooms are very spacious, with high ceilings and large windows that give you a great view of Bangkok’s downtown city skyline. There’s a well equipped gym, huge outdoor swimming pool and a variety of restaurants inside the hotel.

President Palace is located on Soi 11, about five minutes into the soi from the BTS station. From the hotel, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Nana Plaza, although you’ll probably want to take a taxi. The staff are friendly and the hotel overall is great value for money, especially if you want luxury facilities but don’t need a flawless, five-star level of modernity.

Unique benefits: Spacious rooms and great facilities, including a good gym and huge swimming pool.
Guest rating: 8.2 out of 10

Ambassador Hotel

The Ambassador Hotel is an older four star hotel built in the 1970s that’s been renovated and well cared for over the years. The rooms here definitely aren’t brand new but were last renovated in 2009 and have a fairly modern feel, plus a lot more living space than some of the newer four star hotels in Bangkok. There’s free Wi-Fi, a fast Wi-Fi connection and nice decorating throughout the hotel.

From a facilities perspective, the Ambassador has a big outdoor swimming pool and a decently equipped gym. The pool area is a nice place to relax during the day as it’s on the ground level and has plenty of palm trees and deck chairs, as well as a few tables for you to enjoy a drink or meal on. Overall, a decent choice if you want a hotel that offers plenty of value for money and don’t mind it being slightly outdated from a design perspective. From the hotel, it’s a 10 minute walk to Nana Plaza — better to take a taxi to save time and let you avoid crossing Sukhumvit through the Skytrain station.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Spacious rooms and a very relaxing outdoor pool area, but showing its age.
Guest rating: 7.1 out of 10
Overall verdict: Affordable and pleasant, although the hotel is definitely not as modern as others in the area. Good value for money.

President Solitaire Hotel

The President Solitaire is an early 2000s high-rise hotel on Sukhumvit 11 that’s worth considering if you want a large, comfortable room at a reasonable price. This is a four star hotel with a great outdoor pool and other high quality facilities, plus spacious rooms that are bigger than what you’d get in most of Bangkok’s newer hotels

While the hotel isn’t super modern, it does feel comfortable and has high quality beds, lounge chairs and other furniture in all of the rooms. The overall standard is fairly high and the experience of staying here is nice, with several restaurants in the hotel, fast, free Wi-Fi and a surprisingly good fitness center. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the hotel to Nana Skytrain station and 15 minutes to Nana Plaza, meaning you’ll want to get a taxi if you stay here.

CitiChic Hotel by iCheck Inn

Located on Soi 13, CitiChic Hotel by iCheck Inn is a good option if you want to be close to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy. From the hotel, it’s a five to 15 minute taxi ride to both nightlife areas, depending on traffic. There’s also a free shuttle to Nana BTS, plus a good selection of bars and restaurants around the hotel area.

Rooms here are large, well equipped and comfortable, with queen or king-size beds depending on the room type, luxurious modern furniture, nice decorating and fast, free Wi-Fi. S15 Sukhumvit Hotel

Modern and luxurious, S15 Sukhumvit Hotel is another good four star accommodation option located on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 15 and the main Sukhumvit Road. The rooms here are extremely modern and stylish, with wooden four poster beds and chic furniture. If you like a hotel with lots of attention to design, you’ll like staying here.

One nice feature of this hotel is the bathrooms, which have ultra-modern deep bathtubs that you can really soak and relax in. The bathrooms at this hotel are definitely a step up from most rooms in four star hotels. There’s also the usual fast Wi-Fi in rooms and public spaces, plus everything you’d expect from a modern four star hotel.

From a location perspective, S15 is about 15 minutes away from Nana Plaza and five minutes from Soi Cowboy, making it a better option if you want to visit Soi Cowboy than Nana. With this said, you can still get to Nana Plaza in about five to 10 minutes using a taxi, usually at a cost of 50 baht or less.

Royal President Hotel

The Royal President Hotel is another one of the many older four star hotels around the Nana/Asok area. This hotel was built in 1992 but was renovated in the last few years, meaning you get all of the benefits of an older hotel (much more spacious rooms and better facilities) with a relatively modern look and feel to it.

The experience here is basically what you’d expect from a four star hotel. The beds are large, soft and comfortable, with quality mattresses and bedding. The bathrooms are very large compared to most newer hotels in Bangkok, and include both bathtubs and separate glass showers. There’s also the usual free Wi-Fi, large outdoor pool, fitness center and other facilities.

From a location perspective, the Royal President Hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from Soi Cowboy and 10-15 minutes from Nana Plaza, making it worth getting a taxi to either area. Citadines Sukhumvit 16

Citadines Sukhumvit 16 is technically a three-and-a-half star hotel, but I’ve included it in this category anyway because of its modern rooms and nice facilities. This hotel has large, spacious suite-style rooms with internal sliding glass dividers, letting you separate the space into a living area and bedroom when required or enjoy a larger living space during the day.

All of the rooms have large beds with soft, comfortable mattresses and bedding. The windows are large and the views fairly good, meaning you’ll get plenty of natural light in the room during the day. There’s fast Wi-Fi, large work desks in the rooms and an overall high quality feeling to the hotel.

As for facilities, Citadines Sukhumvit 16 has an outdoor pool with a few small recliners around it, as well as a small fitness center with a reasonable selection of weights and machines. Overall, a good value for money option that’s less than five minutes walk from Asok Skytrain station and 5-6 minutes from Soi Cowboy.

Sacha’s Hotel Uno

Another three-and-a-half star hotel, Sacha’s Hotel Uno offers, in my opinion, some of the best value for money of any mid-priced hotel in Bangkok. This hotel is located on Soi 19, meaning it’s less than five minutes’ walk from Asok Skytrain station, Terminal 21 shopping mall and some of Bangkok’s best nightlife on Soi Cowboy.

The rooms here are clean, modern and beautifully decorated, with large beds, soft mattresses and high quality furniture. There are large desks for working on, spacious and well equipped bathrooms and a generally high quality feel to the hotel. There’s also free Wi-Fi and a great bar in the lobby. The only real downside of this hotel is that it doesn’t have a swimming pool.

If you want a high quality, affordable hotel near Soi Cowboy and don’t mind the lack of a pool, Sacha’s Hotel Uno comes highly recommended.

SilQ Bangkok Hotel

SilQ Bangkok Hotel has a great location on Sukhumvit Soi 19, making it one of the best mid-priced options in the area if you want to be close to Soi Cowboy and a short walk away from Terminal 21 shopping mall and Asok Skytration station.

The rooms here are modern, spacious and well maintained, with floor to ceiling windows and nice views over the apartment buildings and leafy luxury homes that you can find in the Asok area. The beds are big, mattresses soft and comfortable, bathrooms well equipped and facilities good. There’s no swimming pool or gym here, but there is a nice outdoor garden that’s perfect for relaxing in with a cold beer.

From SilQ, it takes less than two minutes to walk to Terminal 21 or the Skytrain, and about three or four minutes to walk to Soi Cowboy. Overall, a great mid-priced guest friendly hotel if you want to be close to Soi Cowboy while staying far enough away to avoid the noise.

Admiral Suites

Admiral Suites is an older four star hotel located on Sukhumvit Soi 22, between Asok and Phrom Phong Skytrain stations. Soi 22 has grown into a popular nightlife hub over the years, meaning you have a good selection of beer bars and nightclubs a short walk away from the hotel, plus the usual nightlife at Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza a short five to 10 minute taxi ride away.

Rooms here are very spacious, with more of a serviced apartment feeling than the typical lower Sukhumvit area hotel. If you like plenty of space to stretch out, you’ll like staying here. The beds are large, the sheets and mattresses comfortable and the general feel of the hotel very pleasant. The facilities here are also good, with a well equipped gym and a large outdoor pool.

The only downside of Admiral Suites is that it does feel a little old compared to some of the other hotels in the area. However, if you don’t mind 1990s design, staying here offers much better value for money than most of the other four star hotels around Asok and Phrom Phong.

Located on Soi 24, the Davis Hotel is a peaceful four star hotel that’s quite far away from most of the “action” in Bangkok, making it a good choice if you want something luxurious and guest friendly that also offers a great night’s sleep.

Many of the rooms feature jacuzzis and four poster beds, with a luxurious feel that makes this hotel a fun place to stay. The hotel also has a resort-style swimming pool and fitness center on the top floor that really feels like you’re at a beach resort instead of in the center of Bangkok.

In terms of location, the Davis Hotel is located deep inside Sukhumvit Soi 24, meaning you’ll be close to a lot of good restaurants but quite far from the main Sukhumvit strip. Dream Hotel is one of my favorite luxury hotels in Bangkok. It’s modern and luxurious, with stylish rooms that feel more like something out of Macau or Las Vegas than most of Bangkok’s high-end hotels. The facilities aren’t quite as good as the JW Marriott or Grande Centre Point, but the pool is more than big enough to swim in and the gym does what it’s supposed to do.

What really sets Dream Hotel apart from other high-end guest friendly hotels is the room furniture and the pricing. The beds here are absolutely gigantic and have soft, extremely comfortable mattresses with really good sheets and pillows. If I have to guess, I would assume the beds here are California King-size, or whatever the largest available size is.

The other room furniture is also great. Most rooms have a small sofa at the foot of the bed that’s perfect for watching TV and movies, plus a desk and working space. The bathrooms are spacious and include everything you could need. There’s also a great bar at the hotel and good Thai and international dining options.

Add the location — Dream Hotel is five to 10 minutes from Soi Cowboy and about 15 minutes from Nana Plaza on foot, with a free shuttle to Asok Skytrain station and Terminal 21 shopping mall — and Dream Hotel is an amazing deal overall.

Finally, Dream Hotel is really affordable compared to other high-end hotels in Bangkok. A room here usually costs about 50-60% as much as the JW Marriott, making this a great choice if you want a luxury experience on a lower budget. Highly recommended and my first choice for affordable luxury in Bangkok.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Big, modern and luxurious rooms with huge beds, plus all of the usual features you’d expect from a five star hotel.
Guest rating: 8.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: Great five star hotel with pricing more like a four star hotel and a good location within walking distance of Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza.

Grande Centre Point Sukhumvit Terminal 21

Grande Centre Point Sukhumvit Terminal 21 is located, as you might expect from its name, on top of the Terminal 21 shopping mall. It’s also directly connected to Asok Skytrain station, making it easy to get around the city from the hotel. This also means it’s directly opposite Soi Cowboy, meaning you can walk to the best go-go bars in Bangkok in under two minutes from the hotel.

Rooms and facilities at the Grande Centre Point Suhkumvit Terminal 21 are exactly what you would expect from a high-end luxury hotel. The rooms are well equipped and very modern. The views are amazing. The Wi-Fi is fast and the overall experience of staying here is incredible. There’s a great rooftop pool that offers stunning views over Bangkok’s skyline, plus the usual fitness facilities, restaurants and bars.

Overall, if you want a high-end luxury hotel that’s close to Soi Cowboy, you can’t beat the Grande Centre Point. Add in the fact that it’s directly on top of one of Bangkok’s biggest shopping malls, 100% guest friendly and right beside the Skytrain station and this hotel is very hard to beat in terms of overall experience and convenience.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Modern luxury hotel with a great location right beside Asok Skytrain station, Soi Cowboy and Terminal 21 mall.

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit

The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is a five star hotel located right on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 20, providing a convenient location close to Asok Skytrain station and some of the best overall facilities of any luxury hotel in Bangkok.

The Sheraton is a slightly older luxury hotel, built in 1996. However, it’s been maintained very well over the years and renovated several times, meaning you get all of the benefits of an older hotel (very spacious rooms and great facilities) without any of the downsides.

The rooms here are extremely spacious and offer great views of either the Sukhumvit Road skyline or Benjakitti Park. All of the rooms have the usual king size beds, working desks and luxurious furniture and electronic equipment you’d expect from a Sheraton Grande. There’s also very fast Wi-Fi, although it does cost a small extra fee.

In terms of facilities, the Sheraton Grande is one of the best hotels in Bangkok. It has a huge, oasis-like outdoor pool with numerous jacuzzis and cabanas. The gym is large and fully equipped with everything from cardio equipment to free weights and machines. The spa has a diverse treatment menu and there are several good restaurants and bars inside the hotel. From a facilities perspective, the Sheraton Grande is very good.

Add in the location, which is a short walk from Asok Skytrain station and Soi Cowboy, and the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit offers one of the best overall experiences of any guest friendly luxury hotel in Bangkok.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Older but extremely well maintained luxury hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 20 with outstanding facilities.
Guest rating: 8.9 out of 10
Overall verdict: One of the best hotels in the city, with excellent facilities and a great location near Asok Skytrain station and Soi Cowboy.

FuramaXclusive Asoke Hotel Bangkok

The FuramaXclusive is a luxurious four-and-a-half star hotel that’s a short walk away from Terminal 21 shopping mall, Asok Skytrain station and Soi Cowboy. In terms of luxury, this hotel is definitely a step down from the Sheraton, JW Marriott or Grande Centre Point but still offers a good overall experience at a much better price.

In short, this is the place to stay if you want to be close to Soi Cowboy and enjoy a luxury hotel experience without paying five star prices. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the pool offers nice views of Bangkok and the in-house dining is great. The Wi-Fi is fast and the experience of staying here is a good one. It’s also a two-minute walk to Soi Cowboy. Overall, a great mid to high quality option that, as with all hotels on this list, is 100% guest friendly.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Not quite as nice as the Sheraton or JW Marriott, but much better value for money.
Guest rating: 8.1 out of 10
Overall verdict: A good four-and-a-half star hotel that doesn’t quite match the nearby five star hotels in terms of quality but offers a similar experience at a better price.

Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit Hotel

Another luxury hotel near Soi Cowboy, the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit Hotel offers a good selection of spacious rooms and suites, high quality facilities and great dining within two minutes of Soi Cowboy. It’s also a short walk from the hotel to Asok Skytrain station and Terminal 21 shopping mall, giving this hotel a great all-round location.

Rooms at the Pullman are large and modern, with good views over the Asok area and its dense, busy skyline. The beds here are big and the in-room furniture and decorating exactly as you’d expect from a five star hotel. All in all, the rooms here feel modern and very nice to stay in, with fast, free Wi-Fi and nice design.

The outdoor pool here is large and modern, with deck chairs and sun umbrellas for when you want to relax and enjoy the tropical weather. There’s also a well equipped fitness center, a spa, a lobby bar and one of Bangkok’s best Spanish tapas restaurants inside the hotel, plus the usual Thai and Western dining.

If you want the large, five star hotel experience in a location that’s close to Soi Cowboy and the Skytrain, the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit is worth booking. Recommended.

Emporium Suites

Located on top of The Emporium, a high-end shopping center near Phrom Phong Skytratin station, Emporium Suites is a luxurious five star hotel and serviced apartment complex that’s a good place to stay if you want to be a short taxi or Skytrain ride away from Bangkok’s nightlife areas but far away from the action when it’s time to sleep.

From the hotel, it takes about 10 minutes to get to Soi Cowboy by taxi and 15 to Nana Plaza. The Skytrain is also right at your door, making it easy to get to either nightlife area or anywhere else in Bangkok without having to deal with the traffic.

Rooms at Emporium Suites are gigantic, with even the smallest units coming in at 55 square meters and the largest suites offering as much as 200 square meters of living space. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hotel with such large, spacious rooms as this one.

The suites here are also very nicely furnished, with the usual modern luxury hotel style. One huge advantage of Emporium Suites is the rooms all include kitchens with cooking equipment, meaning you can prepare food at home instead of dining out for every meal. There’s also plenty of space in the suite to get work done or stretch out and relax.

When it comes to facilities, Emporium Suites offers a great outdoor pool with plenty of loungers and umbrellas to tan/relax on and a well equipped fitness center. It’s also located right on top of a major shopping mall, meaning you have everything you need at a minute’s distance.

All in all, this is a great place to stay, provided you don’t mind the relatively expensive room rates and the need to take public transport or a taxi to get to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy.

Is it guest friendly? Yes. There are no joiner fees — I have personally verified with the hotel staff.
Unique benefits: Very large suites with luxury apartment features and high quality facilities.
Guest rating: 8.4 out of 10
Overall verdict: One of Bangkok’s best luxury serviced apartments/hotels, although a 10-15 minute taxi ride away from most of the nightlife.

Who Am I?

I’m a frequent traveler to Bangkok that likes to enjoy the city’s nightlife and network with new people. I set up this site so that other people like me can quickly and easily learn which hotels are guest friendly, which aren’t, and which hotels charge unwanted joiner fees.

All of the hotels on my list are 100% guest friendly. If any joiner fees are charged, I note it in the hotel description and let you know how much you’ll need to pay for your guest. I call all of the hotels on this list every three months to keep it up to date and make sure the information is always relevant.
